She is in the Department of Computer Science of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) since 1989, where she is now Full Professor. She currently acts in undergraduate and graduate program, advising a number of master and doctoral students. She is a Level 1 Researcher at CNPq (a Brazilian Research Agency), possessing more than 100 publications in journals and proceedings of national and international conferences. Her research interests are parallel and distributed computing, including theory and applications. She has been invited to give talks in Universit\u00e9 Paris-Sud, \u00c9cole de Mines, and Universit\u00e9 d\u2019Avignon et des Pays du Vaucluse, where she has also co-advised PhD students.<\/p>'); <\/script><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> toolTips('.classtoolTips3','<p data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:93\"><strong>Full Professor at the Institute of Computing of the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:14\"><strong>Short Bio:<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:707\">She holds a bachelor\\'s degree in Mathematics (Informatics concentration) from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (1985), a master\\'s degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1990), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh (1996). She is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing of the Universidade Federal Fluminense.
